Sometimes when my daughter is feeling her worst and weeps for long periods of time – I forget about the unrelenting agony of my Savior on the cross.

Sometimes when I feel my prayers are going no higher than the ceiling in my room – I forget about Gethsemane where Jesus heard three times, “No” “No” “No!”

Sometimes when I feel there is a better way to run this planet than how it’s being run – I forget about the Friday Jesus’ world turned upside down in darkness for me.

Sometimes when I just can’t bear life any longer and am in desperate need for an answer…and it gets worse – I forget about Jesus’ frantic fight for air so He could cry, “…forgive.”

Sometimes I’m ready to trade my birthright in heaven for a pain-free family and a bowl of beans.

Sometimes I would do it all so differently.

Sometimes….no, many times I plead…
