Women’s MinistryLinda Krinks, MaryLea Thompson![]() Linda Krinks ![]() MaryLea Thompson Supporting Scripture:"Older women likewise...may encourage the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored. Titus 2:3-5 " Purpose:This ministry exists to provide financial support and structure for the many good works our women do. Our women conduct weekly Bible studies, teach childrens' classes, provide food for our sick and shut-ins, encourage each other through a Secret Sister program, and organize retreats as well as other spiritually enriching womens' activities. All of these activities strengthen body life, welcome newcomers, and encourage spiritual growth. Like many other churches, our congregation has more women members than men. Many of these women: single women, young mothers with children, divorced women, and widows have unique needs that are best met by other women, who serve under the oversight of our elders. Responsibilities:
Note:At the Pitman Church of Christ, women have many opportunities to grow in Christ and to grow closer to each other. Our womens' classes during assembly times and throughout the week provide spiritual fellowship. We so thankful for the rich, deep sister-to-sister relationships that we enjoy in our church body. Our love for each other is one of Gods greatest gifts to us. In addition to encouraging each other through fellowship, we also work together to serve others. Let us keep encouraging each other to do good works! We are looking forward to hearing your ideas about ways that we can expand this ministry. We know that God will bless us with many more times to fellowship with one and serve together in the future. |
