Munchkin MinistryBrian Holden, John Ashton![]() Brian and Cindy Holden ![]() John and Cathy Ashton Supporting Scripture:"Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. I Peter 4:9-10 " Purpose:This ministry exists to give our congregation additional weekly fellowship opportunities. When we began offering two different worship times in September 2002, all of us regretted that we would no longer be able to meet together as one body. Therefore, the Munchkin Ministry was created to provide additional fellowship time. The Munchkin Ministry teams serve refreshments during three different time periods on Sunday morning in the multi-purpose room. The Holdens oversee the purchasing of food and supplies; John Ashton oversees the scheduling of volunteers. A team captain heads each of the three teams. Responsibilities:
Note:Helping a church grow past 200 requires creativity and flexibility. One of the changes we made to accommodate our growth was adding a second service. Brainstorming about how to keep members in both services connected led to the creation of the Munchkin Ministry. Wasn't that a great idea! However, it requires tremendous commitment from the Munchkin Ministry team. Enjoy your bagels and munchkins as you connect with those who attend a different assembly. And don't forget to thank the team members who work behind the scenes every Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning to host you. |
