Junior Worship

Supporting Scripture:

Purpose:

This ministry exists to provide a meaningful worship experience for children ages 3 through 4th grade during the second worship service (10:30-11:30). This team works closely with the Kids for Christ leaders. For a detailed description of this activity, which is conducted in Room 9, refer to the Junior Worship Guide compiled by Tim Davis.

Responsibilities:

• Plan the curriculum for the Junior Worship program.
• Make lesson plans for the entire duration of the early Sunday morning assembly.
• Create visual lessons: utilize the overhead projector, video lessons, puppets, etc.
• Pattern Junior Worship after our adult worship, including songs, prayers, and communion for the adult leaders.
• Serve communion to the adults and teens who are present.
• Escort the children to the upstairs auditorium to witness baptisms and to participate in other special events.
• Coordinate and train the teaching staff.
• Honor the Junior Worship staff in some way each year.

Note:

 The Olley Family came to Pitman to grow spiritually. Andrea and I have watched the Pitman church over the years and saw how kids here grow. We wanted that for our four sons. I agreed to serve in Junior Worship because I believe that the children are our future in the church… and I want to be a part of their growth. I believe that after prayer upon prayer that this is where God wants me to work for Him.

  Simply put, the kids of our church are the future of our church.
