Education AdultsMike Broyles, Steve Sikes![]() Mike and Tina Broyles ![]() Steve and Patti Sikes Supporting Scripture:"All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16 " Purpose:This ministry exists to coordinate Bible classes for our adults on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Our goal is to provide five to seven choices on Sunday mornings and three or more choices each Wednesday evening. The objective is to provide classes that nourish both new and mature Christians. Mike Broyles, Steve Sikes, and the elders coordinate this work, utilizing the input of the Curriculum Planning Committee. Teachers are to be selected prayerfully, in accordance with James 3:1: Let not many of you be teachers, my brethren, knowing as such that we shall incur a stricter judgment. Responsibilities:
Note:Make us know Thy ways, O lord; teach us thy paths, lead us in Thy truth and teach us, for Thou art the God of our salvation. Psalms 254: 5 The scripture above is fulfilled through God's word. God's word alone contains the wisdom and knowledge that lead to salvation. The Bible instructs and challenges each of us to develop good Bible study habits, memorize scripture, and teach others about Christ. The Pitman church is committed to providing opportunities for its members to follow these instructions and to "study to show ourselves approved." As Christians, it is our goal to have the mind of Christ and know the will of God. Our adult classes provide the opportunity to learn the scriptures and principles that direct us to this close relationship with God and His son. Studying and discussing with other church members deepens our understanding of who we are and what our Lord is asking of us. The comprehensive blend of textual, topical and specialized studies offered year round is designed to encourage members to want to study, want to share, and want to know. Just like the Word of God, our adult curriculum program is living and breathing. We on the team are continually seeking to improve. We encourage all to find a place to fit in this experience either as a teacher, or more importantly, as fellow students. To God be the Glory. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105 |
